Description
Asuansi Technical Institute is the front runner in Technical Education in Ghana. It began as a rural school on 12th August 1917 to train pupils up to standard 3 in reading, writing and arithmetic. It was converted into a Trade School to encourage Vocational Education in Agriculture, Carpentry, Masonry and Metal work in 1922. Further transformations occurred over the years till 1963 when it was re-named Asuansi Technical Institute to run Craft Courses.
